(December 17, 1929 - July 14, 2012)

U.S. Veteran

William E. Morris; 82 years old of Wilmot, WI passed away Saturday July 14, 2012 at home. He was born December 17, 1929 in Waukegan, IL, living in Antioch, IL for many years before moving to Wilmot in 1991. He had proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. William was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wilmot, Bricklayer’s Union Local 20 of Waukegan, IL and enjoyed antique tools, garage sales, flea markets, and restoring and refinishing homes. Before his retirement, William had worked over 40 years as a Union Bricklayer, and owned and operated Morris Masonry for several years. On September 19, 1969 he married Darlene Kupietz at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Antioch, IL.

Survivors include: his wife of 43 years Darlene; children: Debbie (Gary Lucius) Barner of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Susie (Arthur) Skibbe of Sylva, NC, Sandra (Tom) Maday of Antioch, IL, Gene (Caryn) Morris of Richmond, WI, and Kelley (Patrick) Merkel of Trevor, WI; 10 grandchildren: Vanessa (Peter), Michael, Becky (Bobby), Kyle (Rochel), Katrina (Dan), Curtis, Margaret, Melvin, Payton, and Maisy; four great-grandchildren: Nicolas, Sarah, Cole, and Kelsey; a ½ brother Harley Miner of Waukesha, WI; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his mother Margaret (Fishbach) Morris, ½ sister Mildred Miner, brother Jack (Mildred) Morris, and a niece Linda Morris.

Memorial Services will be at 11AM Saturday July 28, 2012 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hwy C, Wilmot, WI. Memorial visitation will be from 4-8PM Friday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. ) Antioch, IL. Those desiring may make contributions to the Peace Ev.
